UTT/ASLS student National Women's Master Aditi Soondarsingh, retained her National Womens Title in style after 5 weekends of intense competition, she defeated all her opponents to score 11 out of 11 points, but not without a scare in the last two rounds of the tournament from Senior Olympiad player Camille Chung 9 points and Womens Fide Master Javanna Smith 8.5 points, in these two matches Aditi found herself in a losing position but because of her better preparation and experience in the End game tactics she was able to overcome her opponents and win the match.
She has now qualified on the female team to once more represent T&T at the 2010 Olympiad that will take place in Russia together with Camile Chung Javanna Smith and Mellisa Pereira 8 points, and a possible standby player in Gabriela Johnson 7 points.
