Two University of Trinidad and Tobago students have embarked on the "Be the change" programme, an initiative to give back to communities and schools.
UTT students Kern George and Marlon Ali, who recently completed their third semester and have some free time on their hands, have decided to undertake the programme this month.
George and Ali, currently pursuing their bachelor degrees in Physical Education, Sport for development and Sport management programmes of the UTT, have spent the past month at Preysal High School.
The UTT students will be conducting many physical activities that focus on making children better and well-rounded individuals. Many schools have already been contacted and have given these students the consent to go ahead with the programme.
The National Association for Sport and Physical Education, in association with the 'Game On' programme, are working alongside young students and have already donated some equipment for this purpose
The pair will be having other athletes and PE major students with them on some of the days to assist with the programme. The enthusiastic UTT students say they see this as a great opportunity to give back to the national community and to make an impact in the lives of young people of Trinidad and Tobago through the "Be the change" initiative.
