ICT Undergraduate Programmes

Expertise and skills in Information and Communications Technology are essential today in enterprises, corporations, government, and many facets of our society. Our Undergraduate programme in ICT is designed to equip students with a rich and comprehensive set of skills which will allow them to function effectively in any of these areas. The initial coursework is common for all engineering undergraduate students, while the final years provide specialization in the various areas of ICT. The programme is designed to develop a strong engineering foundation, and to ensure competency in computer hard and software systems; modern digital wireline and wireless communications; networking topologies; software engineering, and information systems.

ICT Graduate Programmes

The Master of Science (MSc) Degree in ICT is a research-based degree with a certain number of credited courses. The courses are selected based on the area of specialization a student wants to pursue.

ICT MSc Requirements

    21 Course Credits TT$6900 (TT$300or US$48 per credit)

    1. Entrepreneurship course required (3 credits)
    2. Minimum of 9 credits in one specialty area (below)

    2 Emerging Topics Courses (TT$300 per credit)

    1. Emerging Topics are 1 credit each and offered based on faculty availability and student interest
    2. Emerging Topics credits accumulated beyond two courses count towards the 21 Course Credit total

    Research Thesis (17 credits) TT$5,100 (TT$300 per credit)

    1. Students may begin the research thesis at any time
    2. Research courses are 3-11 credits per semester and usually begin after completion of course requirements

    Fellowships and Course Requirements

    • Fellowships for full-time students with a 9 credit minimum per semester
    • Fellowship funds 1.5 years of study
