Mr. and Ms. UTT South Bachelor of Education Competition

On March 8th, 2008, the second annual Mr. and Ms. UTT South Bachelor of Education Competition, Tea Party and Dance primarily a student initiated and student-driven event was held at The UTT Corinth Campus. This event was geared towards promoting the talents and creativity of the students as well as honing their skills in the areas of confidence and self esteem. Approximately 300 patrons attended and all offered positive commentary afterward.

Participants in the competition were: Urshel Lewis, Brendon Ramlal, Aretha Assevero, Cliff Ramsoomair Adeola Reid, Renaldo Ramnanan, Christiana Montano-Telesford and Denise Job. Participants were judged on their responses to questions eliciting opinions on Education and the Teaching Profession and their personal interests.

The reigning Mr. and Ms. UTT South Bachelor of Education 2007 - Jerrana Douglas and Adrian Benjamin - handed over to the winners Mr. and Ms. UTT South Bachelor of Education 2008 - Adeola Reid and Renaldo Ramnanan, both first year students. Awards were also given for Best Casual Wear and Best Gown, Aretha Assevero and Best Professional Wear, Denise Job.
